Cellar Sense uses Google's Gemini AI to answer your wine questions. When you type a question, it's sent to our secure server, processed by Gemini, and the answer is returned to you. Conversations are not stored on our servers.
You take a photo or select an image of a wine list. The image is analyzed by Gemini's vision AI to read the wines on the menu, and our AI sommelier picks the top 3 recommendations for you.
Premium unlocks your personal wine Cellar (add wines with ratings and tasting notes), full Tasting History (saved sommelier conversations and menu scans), and bookmark support for AI responses.
All cellar entries, history, and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage. Your data is never uploaded to our servers.
If you reinstall the app or get a new device, your Premium status may not transfer automatically. Please contact our support team at the email below and we'll help restore your access.
Make sure the wine list is well-lit and in focus. The scanner works best with clearly printed text. If the image is too blurry or dark, try the "Type menu manually" option instead. Also ensure you have granted Camera or Photo Library permissions in your device Settings.
AI recommendations are suggestions based on general wine knowledge and may not account for personal taste or regional availability. We recommend always asking a wine professional for personalized advice. If you notice a factual error, please let us know via email.
